I had a client that came to see me the other day to be motivated and said that they were afraid of success. When someone comes to see me about this I know that it comes down to two things, firstly they are not leading their life in accordance with their top values and secondly, they have a limiting belief about success.


Let’s firstly look at the limiting belief of success. We all have limiting beliefs, and these come about from before we are born and continue until we die. The limiting beliefs come from our experiences in this world and from what other people say to us. From the time we are born until we reach the age of seven we have no filters to filter out what people say about us. This forms the foundation of our limiting beliefs or unconscious core beliefs.

If we have a belief that it is not safe to be successful, then we will not achieve success. It’s as simple as that.
The next question is how do we change that limiting belief and the others that accompany it? With the use of hypnosis these limiting beliefs are quickly and effectively changed. Hypnosis enables suggestions to be given to the unconscious to change those beliefs.

Now let’s look at values. Our lives are demonstrated by our top values, we spend our time fulfilling our top three to five values. We all have a set of unique values; the problem is that in most cases we do not know what they are.
A value is something that we perceive is missing or is a void in our lives. The more we perceive it is missing or the greater the void the more important it becomes. When we live our lives according to our top values we can’t wait to get out of bed and we have purpose, we don’t need to be motivated!

When we are living our lives in accordance to our lower values we will use words like, could, should, would and we procrastinate. We are not motivated. If you are not motivated, then you need to discover your top values so that you can live a life of purpose and be motivated.
