You get what you think. If you think that you will succeed, then you will. If you think that you will not succeed, then you won’t.Succeed
I get a lot of people who come to me to quit smoking who are extremely anxious about stopping smoking. They have the thought process of, what if it doesn’t work. This thought process puts doubt into the mind and reduces your chances of succeeding in quitting smoking.
What if you had in your mind, what if it does work? Your chances of success are so much better. Even better what if you also think; what’s my life going to be when I quit smoking cigarettes? Now your chances of succeeding have become even better.
Be careful and mindful of your thoughts, especially when you want to stop smoking. In most cases you have seen yourself as a smoker for many years, to do this you do not have to think, its automatic. To see yourself as a non-smoker requires you to get out of your comfort zone and think. When you do this it is uncomfortable and it is easier to slip into the old way of thinking.
When you decide to stop smoking start to think different about it. If you feel uncomfortable with those new thoughts welcome it. Being uncomfortable means that you are growing and starting to break the habit of smoking cigarettes.
