When I ask my clients if they really want to quit smoking a lot of them say yes and then but. This but is usually followed by smoking has been my thing and has always been there for me or what am I going to do instead.

Let’s look at this a little more closely. Even though your smoking habit has been there for you and it is like a friend that relationship can have serious consequences. These consequences are usually an early and miserable death.

To break the habit or relationship with smoking you need to replace it with another relationship or habit. If you do not replace one habit with another chance are that you will go back to your old habit as it is comfortable for you. In other words, if you want to stop smoking cigarettes you have to replace that habit with another one.

You can replace the habit of smoking with many things but I have found the simplest and most healthy habit is the habit of breathing fresh air. Sounds too simple! Guess what, it works. Hypnotherapy allows you to give suggestions to the unconscious mind to replace the habit of smoking with a habit of breathing fresh air. It also allows this to happen quickly and that is why you can quit smoking in under 60 minutes.

Before you undertake a process to quit smoking make sure that it is going to replace your smoking habit with a new healthy habit. That way your chances of success and staying a long term non-smoker will increase significantly.
